Alysha Brillinger
I’m doing some promotional portraits for Alysha’s new CD release. Check out the session video below to hear one of her songs. You can hear more on her myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/alyshabrillinger
These online streaming music samples are just a taste. It’s a whole nuther experience to hear Alysha’s voice unleashed in a beautifully mastered recording. You need to hear the full sound of these recordings on a real stereo or good headphones. It gives me goosebumps! Special credit is due to her very talented producer, Ron Lopata: http://www.ronlopata.com
I went quiet for longer periods working with Alysha. I don’t want to interfere or interrupt when someone is so natural and just being herself. I just want to keep up!
She is playful, very enthusiastic and a total natural for the sexy/edgy/real look that we wanted.
Thanks for a great session Alysha. I know with your love for what you do, your talent, your drive, your persistence and your personable nature, you are going to do well.
Thanks to Barb for all your help assisting on this session!

The session video, featuring Alysha Brillinger performing Lifted:

“Portraits that radiate personality”
…and THEN SOME!
WOW… !
You TOTALLY captured Alysha–Alysha the person and Alysha the musician/singer/songwriter; both her physical beauty as well as her incredible personality and infectious energy.
The result of this photo shoot shows here as a “what you see is what you get” kinda thing–this IS Alysha: real, personable, uninhibited, completely natural, playful & in the moment–and ENJOYING all of it!
And perfect song choice (“Lifted”) for the video session. As I told Alysha, that song is the one that really DOES make me feel “lifted”, and I think it accurately reflects the milieu of the entire photo shoot.
Jay, the shoot was incredible, light & absolutely fun! Your own passion rubbed off on me and reminded me why photography is one of my very favourite things (so “thanks” to you!). I’m very glad I could assist two very talented artists on this shoot–Alysha and you. You’re BOTH going places… for sure!!
(Be sure to check out Alysha’s MySpace and listen to her songs!)
Really amazing job! These photos compliment the music and professional level that Alysha has established with her craft. Wishing all the best to you Jay. Good to see your work. I’m sure these shots will give Alysha a great resource to help further her career.
Jay, these are amazing as usual, but all of your work is. I adore the one of her in the window with the guitar leaning against the wall. NICE!!
A.
