Kitchener Waterloo Maternity Photography

My friend Rebecca came in for some pregnancy portraits.   It was too cold out to try the outdoor location pictures I have been aching to do —> so we stuck to the studio portion only.   Maternity photographers often work year round in the studio exclusively.   I have so many ideas I want to play with outside too!    . . . . glad the warm weather is arriving.

These sensual belly photos are posted with permission.

Maternity portraits are about celebrating and remembering this new chapter in your life as a happy, expectant mother.

Thank you so much Rebecca for being my bumpy supermodel!   Your beauty as a pregnant woman is captivating.

I have to pass on this tip to pregnant women:   Rebecca has this bulging belly without a single stretch mark!    Her secret?  . . . . . olive oil, applied like a moisturizer.

Anne and Dave are Married

kitchener waterloo lifestyle photography

Dave and Anne had a family session on Saturday – the day they were married.   I was not so secretly hoping the weather forecast would be wrong – NOPE – rain and 60km/hour winds!   We stayed inside while wet furniture tumbled across back yards outside.

These parents are the kind that join in on imaginary games – that build cushion and blanket forts with the kids – so we were OK inside.

Katherine Robertson – KW Symphony

musician promo portraits

I was photographing Katherine for her symphony headshot.    She was completely open to the approach of  showing something of herself that is central to her work.    . . . . while not so traditional, I find this so much more compelling and interesting to see!  Being happy doing this;  enjoying it;  the sense of warmth and depth that is my strongest impression of her.

It takes extra time – and some connection – and a running  conversation, for you to feel easy being yourself.  It is totally worth it.
