I was out doing winter portraits last week with a fun, laid back family (which I’ll blog this weekend).   ….. and my introduction to them came from a professional headshot session.  I’m reaching back to just before the Perimeter Institute demolished it’s gazing pool (so glad we used it!!).

Sarah conveys sharp and professional in a way you can still personally relate to.  Within minutes of our 1st meeting, we fell into easy conversation like I had known her for months.

Coming up later this week:   the family portraits.

I’m most happy when corporate clients don’t request a uniform look for their headshots — because the chances of that uniform background, pose and colours working well for each person are remote!

Individual portraits that suit each person was what Megan and Scott from MCAP asked for in these headshots of Bart, Michelle, Nancy and John.  They all have a great, relaxed and personable attitude – which is ideal for the best headshots.

Even in corporate headshots, expressing some individuality and personality makes good business sense.

Why?

….  because it helps customers, colleagues and potential clients relate to you as a person.   …. and when customers have several similar businesses to choose from, they often choose to work with the people they like most.

When I have the freedom to move around to different locations with someone, to chat and joke around with them – and to find places, expressions and postures that are comfortable, natural and real for them – I know we will capture great headshots.
