Out on a warm, sunny day with Angela.  Computer science engineers are not geeks anymore.  I already knew that – but in case anyone out there still had doubts – let me clue you in with a few pictures.

Angela is a world traveller.  ….. and she is easy going, sociable and very relaxed.   (but she can write assembly code!).  I can just picture her doing that …. at an outdoor Parisian sidewalk cafe.

Thanks for a totally cool session Angela!  It was great hanging out with you.

I’ve been a bad blogger!   I’ve been busy busy doing fall portrait special sessions and totally ignored blog posting.  I’ll do some catching up between sessions now.

Here is Amanda Cortes.  She came out for acting headshots.  I love the beautiful, summery country girl feel of these.

She also introduced me to this sweet location (which you may recognize from my 1st trash the dress session).  I discovered something working with Amanda.  I absolutely love shooting actor headshots!  I often coach headshot clients on taking on a state of mind – acting as themselves – to bring out natural, authentic expressions and body language.    ….. add 3 times the focus – and an impressive ability to take on a state of mind briefly and persuasively …. and you have Amanda Cortes.   I felt like I was taking in as much coaching as I normally give out.  Bringing out the best in subsequent headshot sessions just got easier.  Thank you Amanda!

Amanda is hosting The Cabaret Classic in Toronto on Saturday evening, Dec 19th.  This is a fundraiser for DramaWAY  ( www.dramaway.com ) .    …. a formal black tie holiday cabaret night of entertainment – and the cause is a great one!

My fellow photographer Zelia came out with her boys for family portraits.    She’s always up for trying anything.  Jakob Markus and Mathew were a riot!  This kind of session is all about fun.  I haven’t seen these guys since the winter and it was so cool to be talking with Mathew  ….. cuz now he talks back!
