My friend Robyn was working for an air filtration company and continuing her courses at UW.   She was living on a student budget with her soul mate, Todd.   Her orientation and training period at the company was coming to an end.   She was looking forward to her full wages starting (student budgets are very tight).

When the company suggested dishonest sales practices to encourage bigger purchases,  Robyn put on the brakes.   Full stop.

….. and she just walked away.    No safety net,  … no other income to fall back on.    …. no idea where the next income would come from to pay the rent.   She could do that without any concern about what Todd would say.   …. because he would do the same thing.

There are so many small but important things like that about Todd and Robyn that make me proud to have them as my friends.  Here is their session at Conestogo River Horseback Adventures

Jen and Jeff: engaged

2 thoughtful, articulate people.   ….. who didn’t need to be articulate to make a very clear impression on me.  2 of the strongest non-verbal communicators I have ever met.  After talking with them only a short few minutes, I had an unusually strong sense of Jen’s generosity and personable spirit;  of Jeff’s respect for others and easy going confidence.  I can easily understand the instant, strong impression they made on each other.

Hearing Jen describe how they met gave me chills.  He was a volunteer coordinator for a benefit concert called Heavenly Night.  She was a dancer in the concert.  She 1st noticed him during the dinner for the cast and thought, “Now there’s a guy you’d want on your team.   …..hmmm ….. and maybe even your life team”. (and she quickly checked that impulsive thought).  Following her dance at the end of act 1, she was getting up for food and drink when she encountered Jeff, who was ushering the aisle where she walked.

“That was a very beautiful dance. …. thanks for sharing that”.  When their eyes met, an event occured for both of them; a moment of intense curiosity and interest.  If you live your whole life and only experience this kind of emotional, intuitive event 2 or 3 times in all your years, I would still count you as fortunate.  The magical sense of something happening for you that was meant to be.

Reading their descriptions of each other gave me chills again!   ….. integrity, confident humility,  ….. energizing and energized through social interaction, love for life,  …..  I could have written those words myself.

2 giving, authentic, wise souls met and were instantly struck with each other.   When they discovered that  interest was mutual, there was an almost instant bond between them.   All of their friends and family are doubt free about these two.   Seeing them together makes me happy and we only just met!  That same dynamic is what will make their wedding day a joyful celebration for everyone there.
